2024 Liquid Music | Northrop series

Liquid Music and Northrop at the University of Minnesota join forces for a new, ongoing partnership beginning in 2024. Curated and produced by Liquid Music's artistic director, Kate Nordstrum, this inspired series will bring singular artists from across the globe to Northrop's iconic stage, showcasing boundary-defying performances in contemporary music, dance, and beyond.

Northrop's historic Aeolian-Skinner Opus 892 pipe organ takes center stage in select projects, where composers and musicians will explore the instrument's limits to sublime effect. The series will also unveil new works from emerging music creators and choreographers, augmenting Northrop's robust dance programming with interdisciplinary projects that highlight the power of adventurous collaboration and afford Twin Cities audiences the opportunity to experience new works at various and multiple stages of the creative process.
